Magnificent, bright and the real vibrant heart of the town is "la Piazza" (the square), said Listòn in local dialect, with his frieze inspired by S. Marks Square.
It testifies the Venetian presence in Montagnana which changed its vocation from that of a military outpost into an active centre for commerce. Particularly interesting is the orientation of the Cathedral which is oblique in respect to the layout of the square to allow you to appreciate both the façade and its side at the same time.
