Walk in the countryside along the Fiumicello Canal
The trail along the Canal Fiumicello starts at the beginning of Tigli street. The path cross the countryside on the North side of Montagnana and will bring you up to the first houses of Borgo Frassine, an ancient river port on the Frassine. It is possible to continue the walk along the embankment of the Frassine River. The Canal Fiumicello was excavated in the Middle Age to supply water to the moats and the mills in Montagnana and to provide a navigable way of communication from and to the town.
